WOOT!

I've got my sleeves nearly done :D All the maillework is done and I've got a basic attachment system worked out. The strap across my chest is part of it -- since I can't do much about its placement, I'm either forced to hide it or keep it to show off, so that one will likely remain maille. There's another strap across the back, which will eventually be a stiff elastic so I can get a bit more mobility. Both straps are connected to leather pieces which connect directly to the maille.

I have no idea how long it's taken me to do these. Stats are 18g 7/32" bright aluminum with stainless in strategic locations.

This is gorgeous! I wish I had the supplies to give something like this a try.

I wish I could make that. I'm not sure how though. Hm. Do you just buy like a packet of those openable metal chain pieces and hook them together how you please?

I want the home shopping network's Security Landscaping with it's included poisonous grass, cobble stone mines, sulfuric acid sprinkler system and the barbed wire rose bushes! It'll make my house beautiful and deadly!!!
Very cool. Maybe extend the chest strap down into something like a dickie? Could put a small inlay in it to make it look like it's a full shirt.
Woweeee. They are stunning! I love the flared-ness of them. I agree with decorating the front strap... I'd add beads but that's me

We gotta stay positive...
That is awesome. I don't know why they don't put chain maille into more clothes these days--aside from difficulties in a washing machine. : P

I buy a bunch of rings from The Ring Lord and weave them together. It does take a while :)

I think I'll do that, thanks :) I have some welded mesh pieces left over that will fit in nicely.
